Event: Making a Reality of Lifelong Training in the Digital Age
Sunday 3rd October, 4-15 - 5.15 Manchester and On-line
Conservative Policy Forum and Conservative Science and Technology Forum are working together on a joint event in the Exchange Auditorium as part of the warm up for the Conservative Party Conference.
The background paper and trailer are here Making a Reality of Lifelong Training in the Digital Age - When IT Meets Politics (computerweekly.com)
The aim is to build on the ideas that emerged during the recent “Tell Number 10“ consultation, after it emerged that Lifelong training (not “just” learning”) was one of the top priorities among Conservative Women.
This joint event is open to all who register for the Conference, including on-line.
The introductory speakers are being confirmed but the aim is to use most of the time for “just a minute” contributions from the floor, interspersed with video clips from those unable to be present (deadline 24th September).
The event will conclude with a call for participants to work together on the ideas they support.
The organisation is being done by CPF while Philip Virgo is organising the content at the CSTF contribution. He would be very pleased to hear (via virgo.philip@outlook.com) from those who would like to participate/help, particularly with the follow up.
